In September 2021, the Board of Regents took an in-depth look into the university鈥檚 role in the development of critical minerals through the 鈥淒id You Know鈥 presentation, which includes work being done on the research, exploration and extraction of these strategic minerals, workforce development for the mining industry, and their importance to the state鈥檚 economy and national security.
